July Classes

Well - I'm back from the sweltering shores of Rhodes... to be greeted with fabulous weather at home! It's supposed to reach 34C tomorrow! I may take advantage of my flexi time and sneak home at lunchtime!

If you are wanting to place an order and just pay £1 towards the carriage and collect from me - I'm ordering tomorrow! So you have until 10pm tonight!

Alternatively you can buy from my on-line shop... over there on the right hand side!

Tonight is also the last opportunity to book a class in July! I have a few dates still available, and as long as I can fill at least 2 spaces on any one day - I will run a class.

These are the projects for July.

Our first project is a 'Hallett' Bag in a Box - Thanks to fellow Pinkie, Caroline Hallett, for the idea.

With these lovely coordinating note cards.

Then we're making this little beauty!

And if there's time... one of these! So it will be a packed class and at just £10.95 or £5 with a £50 order - you have to admit it's amazing value! So give me a call (07786 860438), text or email if you would like to book!

See you soon! Enjoy the sunshine! xxx

Sad News

It's always particularly sad when we lose someone close to us and I always feel I want to give people in that situation the biggest hug as I really feel for them.

I'm not always in a position to do that so I hope the cards I make and send act as 'virtual' hugs.

That Birthday Blossoms is quickly becoming a 'go to' set for me. Teamed with Papillon Potpourri it was the perfect combination to say 'I'm thinking of you'.

I've only been home a few hours and have so much to do... you know how it is when you've been away!

Don't forget if you want to save on P&P and collect from me I need your order by Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning latest.

The best of both worlds

And not just the fact I am currently sprawled on a beach in Greece whilst my poor friend is house sitting (and hopefully taking advantage and having a sneaky craft).

After Wednesdays post with Birthday Blossoms and Saturdays Blog Hop post with Watercolour Wings - I decided today would be Fusion day.

So here is a card made with both sets!

It's funny how I chose the colours - a customer had ordered some Ink Pads and as I was sorting her order I thought how well the Pool Party, Melon Mambo and Perfect Plum went together.

It's a combination I would never have thought of in a thousand years. But I quite like it... What's your favourite combination?

Only a few days until I come home! And get my first sight of my new Studio... Eeek!

Steppin' Up with Stampin' Up!

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

Not that you will have noticed [cough] but I have a butterfly 'thing' going on at the moment... so when I saw the gorgeous Watercolour Wings set and matching framelits... especially as a bundle saving 15%, I 'needed' them.

They also co-ordinate with the Butterflies Thinlits. Bonus!!

The first card I made is a clean and simple design, also using the new Lots Of Labels Framelits.

I used the new in-colours - Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe. I got the colour variations by 'Stamping Off', twice for the lightest shade and once for the middle shade.

Then I thought it would be good to demonstrate how easy it is to 'Step Up' your cards with a few extra techniques and embellishments.

It's essentially the same card in Delightful Dijon... with the addition of some of the new Gold Metallic Thread, embossing on the white layer of the labels, a couple of mats framing the image, the stunning Dotted Lace Trim and the extra, detailed die cut, using Vellum coloured with a Sponge Dauber.

A little tip for you... when stamping and die cutting the butterfly - leave the body until after you have die cut. it is a lot easier to then line it up and not end up cropping bits off.

Thanks for joining me on the Blog Hop, there are lots of other amazing projects from the other Pinkies so please keep hopping using the buttons below.

Stampin' Up! Birthday Blossoms

Just to let you know I'll be on holiday from Saturday for a week so will be a bit quiet! But there is a Pinkies Blog Hop that I am taking part in on Saturday - So please pop back to see what I'm showcasing from the new catalogue!

In the meantime here is a card I made using the new Birthday Blossoms stamp set.

I think it's a beautiful set!

If you would like to place an order - get it to me before the 1st of July if you are collecting from me and only pay £1 towards P&P.

If you want to book a class... please call or e-mail and I'll get you booked in. I haven't designed all of July's cards but we're working on the butterfly theme and playing with some new toys!

Have a fabulous week and I'll have some photo's of the craft studio to post as the main building will be completed next week whilst we're away! Eeek!

Can't contain myself!

You won't... or maybe you will... understand how excited I am!

I haven't posted as I have been so busy designing my new studio! Whilst we're on holiday a lovely chap will be building us a cabin that will be my craft studio! Can't wait to show you the pictures...

Here is the design using my husbands kitchen design software.

Here's another angle - I feel there will need to be a video tour too!

I have been doing a little crafting with my new product but with 2 classes a week it's been a bit difficult. I have been going to bed so late!

Here is one I made for a male friend. I almost forgot his birthday so it was made in a hurry before my new products arrived.

Thank goodness for Gorgeous Grunge - it is so versatile and the Linen Thread is one of my all time favourites.

I promise I'll post some new stuff soon! In the meantime if you want to book a class in July... I'll just say butterflies!!!!!!!!!!!!

Later!

Slide on over...

...and see the last of the 3 slider cards. I'm not sure of the colours here and might tweak them but I love the idea.

The Hardwood stamp is so versatile, here I used it for the planter. The Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch get a lot of outings and this was no exception.

Teamed up with a background made using the leaves from Kinda Eclectic and the label punched using the Decorative Label punch.

Like monday the pull is punched with the Ornate Tag Topper with Seam Binding and this time, Linen Thread added.

This week I am on a 4 day Health and Safety Course... so I hope I'll squeeze in some crafting.

Here's the tutorial to keep you busy!

Twit Twoo! Keep on sliding...

Following on from yesterday's arcing slider card... here is a more traditional card... though I haven't seen this technique/design in any of the groups I follow.

It was another 2am flash of inspiration and could be made to welcome a new baby as well as other occasions. I would love to hear and see what you do with it!

I really love this card and yet it was quite easy to make. I used the Owl Builder Punch, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Hardwood and Crazy About You stamp sets. 1 3/4" Circle and Ornate Tag Topper punches.

The 'pull' is made with Seam Binding and Bakers Twine.

You can buy all the supplies here. Shop 24/7 with delivery to your door!

And here is the video as promised! Don't forget to come back tomorrow and see the new catalogue!!!!
